As we grow, decision-making complexity and the need for trust, accountability, and inclusion have never been greater. Traditional boardroom governance can leave crucial voices on the margins and slow our capacity to respond to innovation and opportunity.

A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) offers a transformative model—uniting secure digital tools with real-world values and collaboration. It empowers every member of the SCII ecosystem, from founders and partners to grassroots projects, to have a genuine stake and meaningful say in our future.

What This Project Will Deliver

Year 1: Groundwork and Prototype

• Stakeholder Mapping: Ensure all SCII partners, members, and communities are represented.

• Constitution Co-Creation: Workshops to define our core values, rules, and operating principles.

• Platform Launch: Secure digital infrastructure for proposal submission, multi-criteria voting, and transparent resourcing.

• Hybrid Engagement: On-chain tech plus off-chain forums—so everyone, digital-native or not, has a voice.

Impact: First fully representative, transparent votes on SCII priorities; engaged and empowered membership.

Years 2–3: Scaling and Deepening Impact

• Full Roll-out: Extend DAO participation to the entire SCII network, including all regional partners.

• Capacity Building: Training and resources so all members, regardless of tech literacy, can participate effectively.

• Iterative Learning: Regular review and upgrade of both digital and community-based governance practices.

Impact: Faster, fairer decisions; broad-based trust in SCII processes; increased innovation and adaptability.

Years 4–5: Model Expansion & Open Sourcing

• Impact Documentation: Publish case studies, lessons, and toolkits for other networks.

• Cross-Network Collaboration: SCII DAO serves as a “hub” for other DAOs or partnerships tackling grand challenges.

• Continuous Improvement: Community feedback loops for further evolution.

Impact: SCII’s governance model is a reference for both digital and grassroots networks across ASEAN and beyond.
